Prior to contacting Innovative Web Design & Marketing Services, I've already contacted several other companies that have been in business for several years. "As a charter fishing business on Cape Cod, I was looking for a way to stand out from other boats and bring in clients without spending a fortune on advertising. Some methods I tried were advertising in fishing publications, the local telephone directory and placing rack cards in local hotel lobbies. At the end of the season however, I was real disappointed with the results. For me, the costs involved did not provide a significant return on my advertising dollars.
Prior to the 2003 season, I put Melissa Ann Sport Fishing online. Through much trial and error, I created a modest website using a web design program and then linked it to a Cape Cod vacation website hoping to reach more customers. It worked. I booked 95% of my trips that season using this site and I realized that online advertising could be the key to building my charter business. At the end of the season, I got in contact with David Swanson at Innovative Web Design & Marketing Services to discuss creating a professional website that would take Melissa Ann Sport Fishing to the next level. Based upon quotes from other design companies, I believed this would be a costly endeavor.
We discussed my business needs and limitations and, of course, design ideas for the site such as web pages, colors, content, logo design, and email needs. I found David to be very easy to talk to. He listened carefully to my ideas regarding the image I hoped to create and adopt as my own. David explained a number of different ways that we could promote the site to the most number of people who may be interested in booking a fishing charter on Cape Cod.
